Osun State Government Drags Lecturers To Court Over 10 Month-Old Strike

The Government of Osun state has sued lecturers of state-owned tertiary institutions to the Industrial Court over their industrial strike action that has now lasted for ten months.

The Osun state Government led by Aregebesola also claimed that the Labour Union is illegal in the state as it is not registered under law.

In a swift reply to the latest development, the lecturers insists they are not calling off the strike until all their demands are met despite being dragged to court by the state government.
The state government claimed their strike was illegal according to the court summon submitted to the striking under the Council of Academic Staff Union of Osun State Owned Tertiary Institutions.
